Vivo en el centro de San Anselmo y, dado que nunca quitaron BB2, ahora me voy a inundar este invierno. ¿Qué van a hacer al respecto?

Hi Mary. We understand the concern heading into winter for San Anselmo residents. You’re right: Building Bridge 2 has not been removed as FEMA determined it would raise flood levels for some downstream properties. That made the project unworkable as designed. I know many downtown residents were counting on it. The Flood District is now working with San Anselmo to make the structure safe as part of the Town’s Creek Park Plaza. Leaving the bridge in place doesn’t make conditions worse than today, but it doesn’t deliver the improvement we’d hoped for either. To prepare, the best place to start is readymarin.marincounty.gov. You can check your address on the flood risk map, find sandbag locations, learn about flood insurance and get tips for protecting your property. I’m sorry we don’t have a better answer on BB2.
