Transform the County cafeteria into a restaurant that remains open after business hours and serves as a civic gathering place, similar to the role the Four Seasons Restaurant played in the Seagram Building. Rather than being operated by an outside vendor, the restaurant could provide employment and workforce development opportunities for community members participating in rehabilitation, reentry, or job-training programs, modeled after the success of Delancey Street Restaurant in San Francisco. More than a place to eat, it would become a hub where employees, residents, elected officials, and community partners gather to exchange ideas and build relationships. The restaurant would reinforce the Civic Center as the heart of Marin's civic life while creating meaningful pathways to employment.
