Good morning, and thank you for the invitation to share input. In my role i have the pleasure of working with and on behalf of organic milk producers in both both Marin and Sonoma Counties. Our business, and the locally produced organic products that Marin families love, are dependent upon a viable local dairy farm network. The number of dairy farms in the region has been on a precipitous decline for decades....a decline that must be stopped if we are to continue enjoying the nourishing and delicious cheeses, yogurt, butter, and ice cream from brands like ours, Clover Sonoma, Pt. Reyes Farmstead, etc. It is my sincere hope that agriculture in all its forms, but specifically organic dairy farming, will be a foundational element of West Marin's future, and a substantial element of the visioning discussion that will soon be underway. Several thriving businesses, many jobs, and our beloved local food system are dependent on it. Thank you.
