Sharing Hands: a program for connecting people with a specific need in a specific zip code with people from that zip code who can fulfill that need at no cost. Know of an elderly or infirmed neighbor who needs something from the store and you know a neighbor who is going to or near that store soon? Or the single, financially stressed mother who needs yard work or light carpentry done and you know another neighbor who has time and ability to do it? Helping each other as if we are neighbor families...which we actually are. It's more than bartering; it's unconditionally caring for our neighbors in action.
