Partner with Marin County Free Library and local tech professionals to offer free monthly workshops on using AI tools safely: spotting scams and deepfakes, protecting privacy, and using AI for job searches and small business work. Offer sessions in Spanish and English, and in the Canal neighborhood and Marin City, so everyone benefits, not just people who already work in tech

I would love to see arts and culture continue to grow as a priority in Marin’s future planning. Marin has a long and rich history of arts, culture, and creative innovation, and today is home to incredible artists, arts and cultural organizations, educators, and creative programs that contribute so much to life in Marin. I would like to see continued and expanded investment in the arts, with a focus on expanding access for all residents, including additional support for local artists and organizations, arts education, public art, community-based cultural programs, and opportunities for people of all ages across Marin to create and participate.

I am a youth who lives in Santa Venetia and I’ve notice house the housing crisis has increased rapidly over the years. Rent prices have caused it to be very difficult for family to keep up with and the quality hasn’t been the best. It’s important that we find ways to combat these issues so family feel supported by their community.

As a young person, it would be really cool for the county to have high school internships and work experiences to help kids like me explore and get experience in the things that we love. Then these kids can come backs and make this better here, and will be able to because we have the opportunities right now

Creating protected areas. Residents should be able to feel safe in homes, communities, schools, etc, without the fear of ICE entering.

More active outdoor recreation AS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. People come to Marin to get outside. If we give them more fun things to do, like bicycling parks, SF Bay and Creek water access for kayaks, paddle boards, swim beaches, sports courts, marsh boardwalks, etc — more visitors will come and stay for lunch, shopping, overnight, etc. Also, outdoor recreation can be part of our flood resilience work. These kinds of projects are not that expensive and bring multiple awards to economies and lifestyles of resudents, since they get to enjoy the amenities as well. See PatRavasio.com for more ideas.

Tidal gates for ALL the bayside communities - we’re frightened of losing our homes and lifetime investment with no action over the last decades by the county. And no real assistance other than more sandbags. Yes there are other needs but all of Marin has a coast/bay and thousands of homes and businesses at extremely high risk.

Put West Marin’s communities and natural resources first. Planning for West Marin should respect the distinct character of its individual villages and towns, prioritize year-round communities over destination-driven growth, and protect precious natural resources from the pressures of tourism and economic development. This includes supporting sustainable local agriculture/healthy food production, addressing housing affordability and availability, preserving dark skies, managing traffic and congestion in ways that preserve local character, and leading with recycling mandates.

Other counties in the Bay Area have Arts Commissions that support artists with funding and public art opportunities. My husband and I have benefited from relationships and commissions from both the San Francisco and Alameda Arts Commissions. When I moved to Marin County 30 years ago from San Francisco I was shocked that Marin County, being such a wealthy county filled with artists, had no such program. I am frustrated that despite talking to government officials nothing has happened to create a commission to both benefit artists and the public. There should also be a Percentage for Art program for all new public construction like there is in San Francisco and other cities and counties. Thank you.

Support the arts. Create a hotel tax fund to supply funding to the arts, and arts education. Fund public art projects like murals and statues. Definitely fund public art that acknowledges Coast Miwok history. The arts bring money into Marin. Marin is an arts hub. We are a quirky, magical place with a rich arts history and a rich arts culture, where people come through a rainbow tunnel to get here. SUPPORT, UPLIFT, CREATE ECONOMIC VITALITY ! Keep the Marin creativity and magic alive and thriving!

Mobility is key to most lifestyles. A more robust inter-county shuttle system that is responsive and predictable would be of great benefit.

Make this county much more dog friendly. Offer assistance to senior citizens through programs that offer companionship and activities geared towards that group.

Marin is far too nice a place to live to have tents on the streets and one porta potty for 27 tents. Disguesting and unsanitary.

While I wish we lived in a little village and could just bicycle around and smell the roses, it is just not beneficial to the majority of residents to make the county a bicycle park. The San Rafael bridge “experiment” was a good example of what not to do - create an entire lane for maybe 80 bicycles a day, and lose a lane for thousands of cars. That’s just not right. With more a more electric vehicles there is less polluting and forcing people out of their cars is not good for businesses. My idea - let’s be reasonable and practical about bicycle lanes.
