Ironically, Bolinas does not appear in the drop down menu of “cities” for ideas. Maybe by design to hide the glaring negligence. A 50+ year long “temporary emergency order” is a societal and governmental/ embarrassment. Let’s be honest; this is a building moratorium and NOT a water scarcity problem. During the severe California drought of 1976–1977, the Marin Municipal Water District (MMWD) was within months of running out of water. In 1977, state agencies and MMWD constructed a 6-mile, 24-inch temporary pipeline along the upper deck's shoulder/lane of the Richmond–San Rafael Bridge. That leadership is sorely missed. This “emergency” could be easily redressed with current Marin County’s own water resources, but for some reason, the EMERGENCY persists…..hmmmm? Once you ask WHY, the truth and answers are quickly revealed. So, I simply ask the supervisors to ask themselves, “WHY?” Thx.
