Improve cultural recognition by expanding the flags flown on the Avenue of the Flags to include flags representing additional communities and identities beyond the eight American flags currently displayed. Suggested additions include: the Indigenous Peoples flag, the LGBTQAI+ pink triangle ACT UP flag, the Peace flag (white dove with olive branch), the Black Power flag, the Chicano/Chicana Power flag, and symbols representing Differently Abled Communities (such as the ADA symbol), etc. Protect our waterways by relocating the dump away from wetlands. A landfill that leaches toxins into fragile ecosystems should be reassessed and moved to prevent environmental harm. Create a café on the Marin Center campus. Prioritize investments in human-to-human interactions rather than in privatized technological systems. More capital for programming at the Marin Center.
