Improve quality of life, reduce traffic especially for local travel, improve mental health and reduce environmental impact. Reduce traffic that cuts through Marin to cross the Richmond San Rafael bridge by instituting two way tolls on all bridges into and out of Marin (fare can be reduced but total can be kept constant or increased to fund transit) and instituting congestion pricing. Per public data based on daily crossings 2/3 to 4/5 of every car on 101 N in the afternoons is crossing to the east bay. The current situation creates significant costs in terms of time, fuel and mental health on Marin residents. Poorly planned transit by neighboring counties and east bay municipalities impacts Marin residents negatively.
