Our commitment

Engage Marin is built so that every Marin resident can read every question, post their own ideas, and respond to neighbors regardless of how they navigate the web. Civic engagement that excludes people with disabilities is not civic engagement.

Standards we conform to

The platform targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This includes color contrast, keyboard operability, semantic structure, and consistent identification of interactive controls.

Conformance is verified through a combination of automated tooling and manual review using assistive technologies including VoiceOver, NVDA, and keyboard-only navigation.

Supported browsers and assistive tech

Engage Marin is tested in the latest two major versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, on desktop and mobile. We test with VoiceOver on iOS and macOS, NVDA on Windows, and TalkBack on Android. Older browsers may work but are not actively supported.

Report an accessibility issue

If something on Engage Marin blocks you from participating, we want to know. The fastest path is to email the address listed below. Include the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what went wrong. Screenshots or short screen recordings are helpful but never required.

Final contact details for accessibility reports will appear here before public launch.

Alternative formats

If you need an alternative format for any content on this site — a printed transcript, a large-print version, or audio — the County will provide one on request. Contact details will appear here in the final version of this page.
